“EGGStravaganza Festival” ------- The Municipality of San Jose, Batangas in cooperation with the Batangas Egg Producers will be holding a World Egg Day 2010 Celebration on October 22-23, 2010 at San Jose Municipal Covered Court, San Jose, Batangas. Dubbed as “EGGStravaganza Festival”, the celebration coincides with the annual observance by the Egg Farmers worldwide and aims to promote the Egg Industry as a whole, the municipality of San Jose through its number one product, and further build its image as “THE EGG BASKET OF THE PHILIPPINES”.

--FIRST BATANGGAS AGRIBUSINESS TRADE FAIR (AFFA 2010)
The Agriculture and Fishery Farmers Alliance (AFFA), an organization of agriculture and fishery farmers and allied industries is pleased to invite you to join the First Batanggas Agribusiness Trade Fair entitled “AFFA 2010” which will be held on April 23-24 at CAP Auditorium, Lipa City, Batanggas.
As the very first agribusiness expo in Batanggas, the event aims to promote the sustainability and competitiveness of the agribusiness industries in the province being a top producer of livestock and poultry. Considered as the country’s “egg basket”, Batanggas has 7,762,475 heads of chicken and 718,560 heads of swine in 2008 as per BAS records. To date, records from the provincial veterinary office showed that there are more than 160 swine raisers, 230 poultry growers, and 33 feed millers. The record includes the registered producers and does not include the backyard raisers. Batanggas province is also home to its famous auction center at Padre Garcia wherein tons of livestock and poultry are being traded daily amounting to millions of pesos.
The Batanggas Agribusiness Trade Fair promises to be an exciting and well attended event that will showcase latest trends, information, innovations, technology, equipment, practices, products and developments in the livestock, poultry, fishery and other allied industries. The trade show will be participated in by the different players in the agribusiness sectors operating in and out of Batanggas Province. These include livestock and poultry farmers, producers, breeders, fisher-folks, feed millers, cooperatives, corporations, processors, industrial users, traders, consumers, and other allied sectors.
The event will not only provide excellent business and networking opportunities but will also inform the industry players, guests, and visitors of the latest challenges, threats, opportunities and developments in the agribusiness industries.
